3. Is my Email secure?
Remo securely accesses mail stored on most Internet-accessible IMAP4/POP3 mail servers. Remo uses SSL message encryption to enable security for incoming, outgoing messages or both. Your mail server must support SSL in order to use this feature. Individuals using Remo to access Internet based mail, such as Yahoo! or HotMail, may not be as concerned about secure mail as corporate users who are accessing Email through Microsoft Exchange, for example.

5. Does Remo work with any mail server? What about AOL, Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange?
Remo works with POP3 mail servers or proxy POP mail servers that can normally be accessed over the Internet. Remo provides a proxy mail server for Hotmail, Yahoo and MSN. Others that use POP3 include Yahoo!, Earthlink, Netzero and PacBell. Yahoo! requires you to enable the “POP Access & Forwarding” feature. AOL is an IMAP service and available. Most businesses and organizations also use POP3 mail servers for Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange. Ask your Management Information Systems (MIS) department if they use a POP3 mail server that can be accessed over the Internet and for the IP address or if they would prefer the secure, SSL way for access.

6. When I try to download Email, I get either “Connection Failed” or “Server Not Responding” error message. Why?
An error message, “Connection Failed”, indicates you may have no service or are in analog mode. An error message, “Server Not Responding”, indicates you may have entered an invalid Server IP address or the server being accessed is overloaded with network traffic. If the server IP address is correct, try logging in at a later time.

If using Microsoft Outlook, select the contacts you wish to have downloaded, holding the CTRL key to select more than one. Right mouse click and choose “Categories”. Whichever method is used, once completed, use the mobile phone to select “Sync Contacts” from within the Contacts option in Remo. The contacts that were selected will be placed in the phone’s native phonebook.
If you have access to Email through IMAP access, you may have access to view your corporate directory. If so, the corporate directory will appear as a menu option on the Contacts submenu. You may search and view any contact and connect a call.
